I printed a Pythagoras cup I got online so I could test the amount of unsupported holes I could get away with so I printed it vertically. The Pythagoras cup has a tube that extends from the bottom of the stand, to the top of the structure in the middle, and then down to the hole that is visible at the bottom of the cup. Having this long extended area be printed seamlessly without the need for supports definitely makes me more confident on using my 3d printer for more practical purposes.
